In 2023, the Confucius Institute at the University of Bahrain offered 18 beginner-level Chinese classes (CHL101) and 3 intermediate-level classes (CHL102) during the spring and fall semesters. A total of 788 students registered for these courses, representing a 46% increase from the 539 students in 2022. 

In 2023, the Confucius Institute at the University of Bahrain completed the ninth and tenth sessions of Chinese language courses for officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior, the Bahrain Defense Force, and UOB staff. A total of 63 participants graduated, the same as in 2022. 

On November 23, 2023, the Confucius Institute at the University of Bahrain successfully held an Open Day event featuring a variety of enriching Chinese cultural activities. These included five experience zones: Chinese paper cutting, traditional Chinese sports and games, zither playing workshop, blindfolded Chinese character painting, and Chinese cuisine. Over 300 students from the University of Bahrain enthusiastically participated, experiencing firsthand the charm of Chinese culture.

On October 12, 2023, the Chinese Xi'an Conservatory of Music Folk Music Orchestra held a special concert featuring Chinese ethnic music at the University of Bahrain. Over a hundred faculty and students from the University of Bahrain, as well as overseas compatriots from various parts of Bahrain, gathered at the University of Bahrain to enjoy the performance.
